Mobile and New Orleans

New Orleans - Plantation House Tour (9/27)

After the swamp tour, we are picked up by a van and taken directly to the plantation house.  There are 8 of us.  The plantation is called San Francisco.  It is along the Mississippi River.

The photos.

The first photo is a photo of a typical slave quarters that would house 30-40 slaves.  The second photo is the outhouse for the slave quarters.  The third photo is a kettle used in processing sugar cane.

The plantation house.

The first photo shows the side and the front of the house.  The other 4 photos are taken from the rear of the house.  There is a road directly in front of the house that makes getting photos of the front very difficult.
